چکیده

BackgroundChronic kidney disease (CKD) is a serious health problem in which oxidative stress plays an important role. Oxidative imbalance of reactive oxygen species (ROS) production and antioxidant defense, where antioxidants have the potential to inhibit CKD progression. Celery contains several substances that effect. This study aimed evaluate administration celery ethanol extract prevention progressive damage caused by male rats. MethodsTwenty Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into 5 groups: sham operation (SO, n=4), subtotal nephrectomy (SN, SN+celery 200 mg/kg BW (SN+S1, 250 (SN+S2, 300 (SN+S3, n=4). The was given for 14 days before induction 21 after rat model. Serum creatinine, malondialdehyde (MDA), superoxide dismutase (SOD) glutathione (GSH) examined this study. Data analyzed One way ANOVA followed LSD test MDA, SOD, Kruskal Wallis GSH. The protective effect of rosemary in mitigating oxidative stress induced by Chlorpyrifos in rat kidney

Introduction: Chlorpyrifos is an organophosphorus insecticide that can produce reactive oxygen species, and oxidative stress in the kidney. On the other hand, rosemary extract is an antioxidant playing a protective role against free radicals. Therefore, the aim of this study was to evaluate the oxidative stress in rat kidney due to the exposure to chlorpyrifos and to assess the antioxidant effe...

Protective effect of resveratrol against sub-acute diazinon-induced oxidative stress in rat kidney

Introduction: Diazinon is used as an organophosphate pesticide in agriculture. Studies showed that a lot of organophosphates can produce free radicals and disrupt antioxidant system. Resveratrol as an antioxidant can reduce oxidative stress in kidney tissue. The study aimed to investigate the protective role of resveratrol on oxidative stress induced by sub-acute diazinon exposure in kidney tis...
